rice raiser

Hey all,

I know about 8-9 folks at least have read one or more of these posts, but you have posted very few comments, so far. Now , I realize a lot of my friends are shy (just like me) but did you realize that every comment you make I match it with an extra grain of rice. I really miss that Alaskan cynsism .....nase

  2. This is my second try to post a comment. Just back from Vancouver. Had a great trip. Love that curling. Think I may take it up since they have a curling club in Anchorage. Caught up on all your blogs. Keep them coming. I'm impressed you can actually do it.

  4. Hi Jerry,
Are you sticking pretty close to the town you are in or have you been to PAP? Are people coming from there for treatment? I can't even imagine the devastation. It has been snowing here for the last three days. Not a lot of accumulation, just major ickyness. Talked to Lilah today; she is thrilled with those new kittens. She also had a sore throat. I am excited for her to be in school; she will really enjoy the other kids. My computer has been down for 2 and 1/2 days; I felt like my arm was missing. Good luck down there, and please take care of yourself. Vicki

  5. Hi Dad,

You are a world class blogger! What is the connection speed down there? Love reading your posts - your blog is on my FAVORITES list and I check it multiple times a day - keep writing. The mundane stuff is the BEST!!

    Love you,

  6. Jerry: Is there a subscription fee for your blog? Yours is the first blog I have ever looked at, and I'm doing it EVERY DAY! You have become my computer/techno guru.....

How many people live in/near Les Cayes? Are you far from town? Can you walk to a market?

Be sure to send a picture (if it is possible) of your braided beard. You always make a fashion statement wherever you go.

    Keep well.

  7. Hi Uncle Nase! I like the word "Nase". First heard it in Alaska and it grew on me. I am enjoying your blog. My heart goes out to the people of Haiti. I can imagine they are thrilled you are there! I tried to write you a couple days ago from my phone and I got it all typed up (took forever on my phone) and then it didn't post. I guess I'm not that savy with technology yet. I can just picture you getting your hair braided; that is too cute. Need any teachers down there? I sure would love to go somewhere some day and help people too. Also, my whole family will be in the Bahamas the first week of April. If you are still around, take one of those charter planes to Abaco (Marsh Harbor) and come stay with us if you want! I hope there are no mosquitos there because they always attack me.
Well, I am heading off to teach the adults math! They love math class, yeah right!
I'll keep reading. Take care and much love and prayers are heading your way.
    love
